NGE-TFT provided design services, and on-site engineering support and construction management to the construction of a 1,000 ft long sheet pile dock wall at Trident Seafood’s processing facility located in Akutan, Alaska. Services provided included a geotechnical evaluation of the dock wall alignment, sheet pile wall and tieback anchor design, and backfill recommendations. A borrow source evaluation and volume determination was also conducted in association with the dock design which evaluated the suitability of a nearby quarry to produce backfill material for the proposed dock expansion.
