The Anchorage International Airport Seismic Upgrades project focused on enhancing the structural integrity of Concourse A to meet modern seismic safety standards. The upgrades included the installation of steel brace frames and thickened concrete shear walls designed to improve the building’s ability to withstand seismic forces. NGE-TFT played a key role in ensuring the safety and quality of the upgrades by performing special inspections on all steel structural components, including the brace frames and other steel elements. Our thorough inspections ensured that all new structural additions met the required standards for strength and durability, contributing to the long-term safety and resilience of the airport’s infrastructure.
